A. Baldi was a professional rider from Bedizzole, Brescia and later became the mechanic for the Italian National Olympic Team. I am not sure he himself was a frame builder…
In my believe Baldi as a mechanic became close friends with Silvino Grandis (Verona) who (or probably his son Ezio) built some frames in Baldi’s name. All specifications of the Baldi Special frames are similar to the Grandis built frames, the cut out bottom bracket, the distinctive engraved headtube Baldi logo and the curved rear brake bridge (seat stay bridge).
By all means this is a real beauty and a very rare bike, built with Columbus SL tubing and fully equipped with a 1982 Campagnolo Super Record group set. All Original and with very, very low miles.
